Metabolic conditioning or “metcon” for short is a style of training made popular in recent years by the CrossFit community – although the style of training itself is nothing new. The term describes short bouts of higher-intensity training designed to increase metabolic demand and increase energy usage.

GETTING STARTED WITH OUR METCON
For all levels of fitness
Bootcamps are designed for the total beginner and experienced athlete not only will they help you lose weight and improve your fitness, they can, if you wish, prepare you for our CrossFit Foundation Course and eventually our general CrossFit classes.
EXAMPLES OF METCON EXERCISES
Constantly varied functional movements
Squats, jumps, runs, rows, bikes, climbs, press ups, pull ups, sit ups, presses, kettlebell swings, plus many others!!! Bootcamps change on a daily basis and allows members to train as often as possible without over-training certain areas. A typical 60 min class will be: 5 -10 min warm up / 20-40 min Conditioning Workout / 5-10 min cool down. All exercises are clearly demonstrated before class, our coaches are always on hand throughout the Bootcamp to help or correct you.
